Sony Ericsson unveils three new smartphones, Xperia Ray preview

Sony Ericsson has unveiled three new smartphones with some incredible features. The three smartphones are named as  Xperia Ray, Xperia Active and Sony Ericsson TXT. Xperia Ray and Xperia Active are powered by Android 2.3 while the TXT is a featured phone.
Over the past few months the mobile phone manufacturers has seen their market share dropped a little but now it seems they are serious back in the race with release of some of the wonderful handsets.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray more or less looks like Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 as far as  shape and form factor is concerned. And the design looks to be somewhat inspired by Xperia Arc. But the menu buttons are redesigned and thinner (9.44 mm) than X10 .Xperia ray has Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with Sony Ericsson’s Timescape. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor with the Adreno 205 GPU. Applications and games will be well supported by this device. Likewise it sports capacitive 3.3-inch scratch-resistant display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA). Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine make videos look wonderful with the pixel density of the display 297ppi.
The device comes with an 8.1 camera with an aperture of F2.4 and front VGA camera as well. The  shutter speeds is faster than the previous versions that makes you take better shots.
Since we do not know the exact date of its launch, there may be many smartphones with faster hardware before this promising device hits the market.
The Ray may cost you $475 with a few suggestions of being released in the third quarter of 2011.
