Update Sony Xperia Arc S, Neo V and Ray to Android 4.0 ICS

Earlier this month, Sony began to release the update to Ice Cream Sandwich for some of its devices in the Nordic countries. The update will come to other markets in the coming weeks. However, if you do not want to wait, now we will show you how to install the official update right now.
The lucky users of Xperia arc S, Neo V and Ray in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway are already enjoying the flavor of Ice Cream Sandwich few days ago. All other countries should wait 4 to 6 weeks, plus the time it takes operators to release the update.
However, if you want to update your device to the latest version of Android right now, you can do following this tutorial. There are two methods to update Sony Xperia Arc S, Neo V and Ray to Android 4.0 ICS:
Method 1
The easiest way to upgrade to ICS is register and use the services of WotanServer and download the client to your PC. The disadvantage of this option is not free and you have to pay 1.99 euros and then you can flash the Nordic firmware. Then, you should use SEUS or PC Companion to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich.
Method 2
The other method is to use FlashTool to flash the device and the associated file FTF who left courtesy of XDA below:

Xperia Neo V
Xperia Ray
With this method it should be clear: the current version of Flash Tools can not create new partitions of the memory you need for Ice Cream Sandwich. However, there is a little trick to solve this problem:
1) Start FlashTool.
2) Enter Flashmode.
3) Choose the ICS file FTF and use the following settings:
Sony Xperia ics
4) Then, flashing again with this configuration:
Sony Xperia ics1
5) Finally:
Sony Xperia ics 2
6) Disconnect the device and turn it on.
7) Success! Enjoy Ice Cream Sandwich!
So you know, if you can not wait to update to ICS, and it can have Android 4.0 on your device!
