
Today I bring you a new ICS ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Serendipity is a custom ROM based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that gives you an experience like that of the Galaxy Nexus AOSP. This ICS ROM provides a raw experience without custom interface or any other bloatware, this is just plain vanilla-Android, resulting in a faster and smoother experience.
How to install Serendipity AOSP ROM in your Galaxy S2 i9100.
Warning: This ROM is only for use on the Galaxy S2 i9100 and not on other devices.

We recommend that you back up all your data before starting the process. Do not do the backup with KIES as it creates the backup in the format (.SBU) which is usually has restoration problems being a custom firmware ROM.
It is therefore advisable to perform the backup of all data as follows:
- SMS – Use SMS Backup & Restore
- Contacts – Sync to Gmail application
- Pictures, songs, videos and files – Copy to SD card
- To note the APN and MMS settings from Applications -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile networks -> APN
Your phone must have a minimum of 60% of battery to ensure that the update will not be interrupted.
Never interrupt the firmware update manually, by the way, if interrupted by power failure there is no need to worry because all you have to do is follow the instructions only from the beginning.
It is very important to make sure you have ADMIN privileges before proceeding to update the phone. You must also enable the USB Debugging which means that you have read/write the firmware can be applied successfully. To do this go to Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging. Note that the phone must be disconnected from the computer when you perform this step.
To apply this update root access is not necessary to the firmware of your Galaxy S2.

- Download the latest version of the ROM from this link.
- Transfer the downloaded file in to the internal memory.
- Turn off the phone and starts in ClockworkMod recovery. To do this you must press simultaneously: Volume Up + Home + Power. In recovery mode you should use the volume keys to scroll and select Power.
- As mentioned above, it is always advisable to back up your ROM to restore.
- Select wipe data/factory reset, then Yes.
- Once the process is complete, select install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from sdcard. Scroll down to the ROM on the SD and select it. To confirm the installation you should select “Yes” – Install _____. zip on the next screen.
- After the ROM is installed successfully, select Go back and then reboot system now to restart the phone.
